IBJR Highlights Sports Integrity and Innovation at SBC Summit 2025
Event marks its first edition following the regulation of the betting industry and will feature key operators, Federal Government officials and members of the Senate
The Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gaming (IBJR), which represents 75% of the regulated sports betting and online gaming market in Brazil, will take part in the SBC Summit 2025 — one of the most important gatherings in the industry. The event will take place from February 25 to 27 in Rio de Janeiro.
Bringing together major stakeholders, the event will feature a full program of conferences and workshops focused on the latest trends, challenges and opportunities in the newly regulated market. Confirmed speakers include Carolina Yumi, Deputy Secretary of the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting at the Ministry of Finance, and Senator Irajá Abreu.
IBJR’s participation will focus on key topics for the sector’s growth, emphasizing the importance of building a safe and sustainable environment grounded in international best practices for responsible gaming.
On February 27, IBJR’s CEO André Gelfi will speak on the panel “Tech Talk: Where Innovation Meets Regulation”, exploring the critical role of technology and innovation in the future of the Brazilian market. Gelfi will discuss how AI, data solutions and automation can help enhance transparency and security in betting, protect consumers, and ensure the integrity of sports competitions.
“Adopting new technologies is not just a regulatory requirement — it’s a competitive edge for operators committed to responsibility. At IBJR, we believe innovation must be ongoing to support the sustainable evolution of the sector. Tools like facial recognition and real-time monitoring systems are examples of how we can stay ahead of potential risks and deliver a safer environment,” said Gelfi.
