15 Principles of IBJR for Responsible Online Gambling

We, the signatories and members of the Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gambling (IBJR), operating as licensed operators under Law 14.790/23, reaffirm our commitment to the highest standards of player protection across all sports betting and online gaming activities in Brazil.

We also encourage our affiliate partners — including content providers, social media accounts, and brand ambassadors — to adopt and uphold these principles, whenever applicable, as part of a shared responsibility to ensure integrity and safety in the industry.

Our Core Commitments:

1. We take proactive measures to prevent underage individuals and self-excluded persons from accessing sports betting and online gaming platforms, using strict identity verification and access control systems.
   
   
2. We implement operational and educational initiatives — in collaboration with sports authorities, government agencies, and national and international integrity bodies — to detect, prevent, and respond to match-fixing and other forms of manipulation in sports. When necessary, we support enforcement and sanctions.
   
   
3. We comply with stringent anti-money laundering (AML) and anti-fraud regulations, working closely with authorities to detect and prevent criminal activity.
   
   
4. We work exclusively with licensed providers in Brazil, in full compliance with local legislation. We also support government action against unlicensed operators and entities that breach established regulations.
   
   
5. We help bettors make informed decisions by offering clear, transparent information about how games work, alongside dedicated customer service and support. A portion of our marketing budget is also invested in public awareness campaigns on responsible gambling.
   
   
6. We ensure that all our advertising follows the standards set by CONAR (Brazil’s National Advertising Self-Regulation Council) and complies with relevant laws and regulations. We do not feature minors in marketing content and make sure all individuals portrayed appear to be of legal gambling age.
   
   
7. We fully support self-exclusion programs and provide proper assistance to individuals who choose this option.
   
   
8. We encourage bettors to set a budget that aligns with their personal finances, avoiding excessive spending and reinforcing the message that gambling should not be viewed as a path to wealth.
